Model-Based Investigation of the Interaction of Gas-Consuming Reactions and Internal Circulation Flow within Jet Loop Reactors

Jet loop reactors are standard multiphase used in chemical, biological and environmental processes. The strong liquid jet provided by a nozzle enforces both internal circulation of gas as well entrainment dispersion the phase. We present one-dimensional compartment model based on momentum balance that describes phase reactor. This considers influence local variations volume fraction circulation. These can be caused coalescence bubbles, additional gas-feeding points consumption or production. In this work, we applied to study gas-consuming reaction comprehensive sensitivity analysis, interaction different parameters such rate reaction, power input through nozzle, holdup, reactor geometry, were investigated. results show have significant impact Industrially relevant operating conditions even been found where comes complete standstill.
